On My Radar......

I have a crazy obsession with knit blazers! I've always wanted one or two. Well I saw a couple of really cute one's being worn by some ladies at church today and that put my desire for a knit blazer into OVERDRIVE! I love how the blazers are just perfectly cool and chic. They can be worn casually or dressed up. And of course they're made of knit so they're all too comfortable.  I'm hoping to sew up at least one of these for this month's "Sewing Boot Camp" challenge. I hope to track down the perfect ponte or double knit for the project!

Here are some examples of some really cute one's....

  1. I agree - these are fab! Looking forward to seeing what you come up with. I suspect the quality of the knit matters fir these.

  2. I love those knit jackets too, in fact I've just bought some black and white stripe ponte knit to make a stripey blazer too. Well it's on my long sewing to do list anyway!

  5. The perfect pattern will be B5926 designed for ponte knit and cotton knit.

  6. I also love StyleArc's Marni Jacket - it can be made from ponte or double knit and it has a subtle peplum - yum!

  7. I made B5926 in grey and really liked it and since then (FOR MONTHS!) I have been on the HUNT for a navy/white striped ponte and have not found what I wanted :( Can't you just SEE a navy/white ponte blazer with all manner of colorful shorts/skinny leg pants?!? Coral. Kelly green. Red. The options are ENDLESS! :-)
