It's taken long enough but here is my Mother's Day dress. It's McCall 2401 which I first made
HERE. I've already reviewed it then so I'll just post pics I decided not to post anymore pics of my knit jacket. I posted a few pics of the jacket
HERE. Unfortunately I won't be able to resolve the rolling lapel issue (mentioned in that post) without some serious rigging and my heart just isn't in to that. I'd just rather start over and make another jacket. I'll consider it a lesson learned. Something that's part of the process. Anyhow, here's the dress. I can't say enough how much I LOVE THIS FABRIC! It was love at first sight when I purchased it at Fine Fabrics in Atlanta! I'm not shy about my love for color! The brighter the better:)
Remember I made my daughter a matching dress
HERE
These were our Mother's Day looks for this year! Glad to have another fashionable year with my daughter. Looking forward to Mother's Day next year!!!
Gorgeous colours! This dress looks utterly fabulous on you! Well done!
ReplyDeleteYou look stunning in that dress. I love its colors.
ReplyDeleteI agree..."the brighter the better". I LOVE the colors!!! The pattern fits you perfectly, but it also is perfect for the fabric because the design lets the colors/print shine.
ReplyDeleteJust as I thought, so pretty! I do 't blame you for not wanting to take the jacket apart to fix,I would do the same thing and start over too! I agree, it's a lesson learned and move on!
ReplyDeleteVice nice Victoria, love the colors
ReplyDeleteGorgeous!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful fabric. And the dress looks awesome!
ReplyDeleteOh so pretty. i love the print and colours. You look lovely in it!
ReplyDeleteI'm really loving both dresses. Yours is an absolutely perfect fit - and it looks like it's very comfortable as well. If you're not feeling like you want to repair that jacket, I wouldn't worry about it. You actually don't even need a jacket with that dress unless you're in a place where the a/c is really cranking. Your daughter's dress is simply adorable. So... What's next? Can't wait to see it.
ReplyDeleteI love the dress Victoria!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful dresses! What a lucky daughter to have a mom who sews for her !
ReplyDeleteBE-U-TI-FUL, Victoria! Your daughter looks adorable too, but you are stunning in that fitted and colorful dress!
ReplyDeleteLOVE that fabric!!! Your daughter is adorable!
