Someone in my family is growing faster than I can even keep up with. So I've decided to step in and make her a few pieces. I pulled out a busy knit print and she instantly requested a pair of leggings. So that's exactly what I made. My "little fashionista" definitely has a fashion sense all her own and it's fun to help her express it. I used
Butterick pattern 5877 to go with the cool jersey knit print. No need to review this pattern since it was pretty standard. I made a few tweaks to it to fit my daughter. It turned out really cute. I plan to make lots more. She loves leggings! I love them too since they seem to accomodate her growth spurts better. Anyhow, here's some pics.....

(Here's the fabric)
Love that fabric! What a great eye she has for wanting leggings out of it! I have twin soon-to-be 11 year old girls and I am amazed at how already they look at fabric and know just what they want. A lot of times it is something I wouldn't have thought of and their idea works out great. It is so nice to sew for our children!
ReplyDeleteHow cute, I love the leggings. Haven't made any as of yet for myself, but I plan to soon. And she is working the run way. Love to see her in pictures. She's a cutie.
ReplyDeleteAw, how cute. I love the fabric you used.
ReplyDeleteToo cute!!!
ReplyDeleteLove that fabric! Where did you get it?
ReplyDeleteShe is just to cute! The fabric is perfect for her leggings.
ReplyDeleteSo cute. Kinda wish I had a kid to sew for. Practically no fabric!!
