I guess I don't want to fuss with my wardrobe as much as I used to. I much rather have a smaller amount of clothes that I wear more often and can mix and match then a larger wardrobe of rarely used items that were too event specific. The older I get, the more I find I want to simplify my life---guess that's a reflection of my personality (smile)!Victoriahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15055410123914346485noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3699537904435529619.post-61452623025627938342011-05-19T07:29:11.526-07:002011-05-19T07:29:11.526-07:00Beth & Bunny, you are so right. I guess now I want to make more clothes that can get more wear.Victoriahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15055410123914346485noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3699537904435529619.post-53301382031238753632011-05-19T07:20:21.632-07:002011-05-19T07:20:21.632-07:00I agree but... is there anything wrong with a one ...I agree but... is there anything wrong with a one wear wonder? I'm asking myself as much as anyone else as I struggle with this off and on. I've been trying to wear my event clothes more often and some times I succeed and other times I don't. However, considering that I sewed it and considering that it was far less expensive than purchasing would have been, maybe it doesn't matter ? ? Maybe once is enough and now it can be whatever - like someone else's or something new. I've been known to refashion things and that's a lot of fun too.Myrnahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08322129605868685006noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3699537904435529619.post-74267521398629990442011-05-19T03:54:28.716-07:002011-05-19T03:54:28.716-07:00I certainly do one hit wonders. Isn't that wha...I certainly do one hit wonders. Isn't that what's required for weddings, special events, New Years? I just don't want to wear the same thing next year and my social life is between me and the wildlife in my yard. If I didn't sew, I would be buying one hit wonders. Don't we all want to look smashing at a big event? The "smashing" effect doesn't really happen twice unless you are with a totally different crowd. After all, these events allow me to make special garments that I wouldn't normally make. I just donate them after.Bunnyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03672695141031447916noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3699537904435529619.post-31397898089610196792011-05-18T22:30:19.511-07:002011-05-18T22:30:19.511-07:00So true! Or sometimes it is just the thrill of working on something, as you described, an art project. I will be very interested to see what you come up with.Beth (SunnyGal Studio)https://www.blogger.com/profile/08891740887743925587noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3699537904435529619.post-15415675382329658062011-05-18T12:19:21.570-07:002011-05-18T12:19:21.570-07:00I'm excited that you're finding your niche...I'm excited that you're finding your niche!
