It really is an amazing resource. I haven't commented lately, but I wanted you to know that I just love all your recent sewing triumphs!Valeriehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01895625114035965626noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3699537904435529619.post-27748141262114206292010-09-23T23:54:22.879-07:002010-09-23T23:54:22.879-07:00I have this book. I have tried tucks flounces, and ruffles so far and they all turned out pretty good. In fact whenever i get plain fabrics without any print or texture, i refer to this book to add some interest element to the fabric and it works.LakshmiRPhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16835940290122765167noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3699537904435529619.post-71800333732544515882010-09-23T20:41:06.055-07:002010-09-23T20:41:06.055-07:00I just bought this book last month! So cool!! It's great for inspiration and thinking outside the limits of a pattern. (I also bought mine for cheap on Etsy - $10 if I remember correctly!) You'll be able to rack up tons of sewing hours with this book :)Tasiahttp://sewaholic.netnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3699537904435529619.post-42105038810353153692010-09-23T18:07:48.555-07:002010-09-23T18:07:48.555-07:00I do have this book, and there are so many drool-i...I do have this book, and there are so many drool-inducing ideas in it that I'm too overwhelmed to pick just one! Actually, I've been meaning to try some of the smocking techniques (perhaps the Canadian smocking?) on a large rectangle of fabric and then try using the finished piece as the neck piece on a pattern like this:
http://www.simplicity.com/p-2008-missplus-size-dresses.aspx
I have a couple RTW tanks with fancy details at the neckline, and I wear them to death under tops that are too low cut for work (like wrap tops). They can easily take an outfit up a notch.isidorenoreply@blogger.com
